EU Publishes Haiti Status Update

On March 1, 2010 the EU published their status update report on the conditions in Haiti. The statistics and observations of critical items like food sources, sanitation, housing, removal of debris and other important social/economic issues are documented in this report. The report not only shows the current status, but also the projected financial commitment required to complete a recover cycle. Work with us as we organize, produce, and distribute millions of Haiti Earthquake Relief t shirts across thousands of American Communities. Work together with us in your communities to put Americans back to work and put badly needed funds into the hands of those groups that need it the most and are making a difference right now.

We’re overwhelmed by the devastation and tragedy in Haiti. Like all Americans, our natural reaction is “How can we Help?” Millions are being raised and that’s a great start. But it’s going to take billions.

This is your chance to mobilize in your local community to multiply the effort. When we started the Haiti Shirt Project January 14th, our goal was to sell a million shirts and raise ten million dollars for the relief efforts. What was going to be a national effort now spreading globally.

The buzz is growing in the media and in the screen printing community regarding an innovative concept to raise money for Haiti by selling tshirts. Modeled after a highly successful campaign following the 9/11 attacks (read the story), Jeff Cottrell of Screen Works, Inc. and Mark Coudray of Coudray Serigraphics are launching a scaled up version to raise $1,000,000,000 for Haiti Earthquake Relief. The tshirt features a high quality, full-color image on the front with a customized back design to reflect local communities across the country.

While the campaign has gained global interest, the emphasis is on helping local communities leverage their own networks into a much bigger program. The unique program unites local printers, non-profits, charities, schools and companies into a common cause while also sharing a common identity across the globe.
